After 24 years, the Tren de las Sierras, a service that connects Cosquín with Córdoba, returns to

Valle Hermoso

.

From this Monday you can find

4 daily trips

, two outbound and two back.

The formation passes through dikes, mountains and tunnels, until it enters the heart of the Punilla Valley offering incredible views of the province.

The route had 14 stations that now became 16 with the incorporation of Casa Grande and Valle Hermoso.

Thus, the total route totals

73 kilometers

, 16 more than before.

To make it possible, it was necessary to uncover and review the laying, prune trees, weed and dismantle the area to change sleepers, align the tracks and fill them with ballast stone.

The last two stations were also adapted for the arrival of passengers.

Platforms for the ascent and descent and entrance ramps were built.

Currently there are two formations that cover the trip, which from the first to the last station, lasts

three hours.

Although it is not designed for purely tourist purposes, this extension becomes an

inexpensive alternative

to discover various mountain landscapes while traveling.

The entire route has a value of

19 pesos

while the Cosquín-Valle Hermoso section costs 4 pesos.

Tickets can be purchased through webventas.sofse.gob.ar/servicio.php.
