'Two hands in more' is the free home shopping service with which, since 2001, Coop Lombardia has been supporting those who are no longer able to carry out this activity independently.

A solidarity network that did not stop during the pandemic but which has been strengthened to deliver over 60,000 expenses in Lombardy as of 31 December 2020.

'Two hands in more' is "an important solidarity network built in twenty years of work by Coop volunteer members alongside Caritas Ambrosiana, Consorzio Farsi Prossimo and Auser Milano, Croce Rossa and Croce Verde Milano - recalled Alfredo De Bellis, vice president of Coop Lombardia -, which in 2016 was awarded the Ambrogino d'oro ”, the highest honor recognized by the Municipality of Milan. During the pandemic emergency in the Milan area, the 'Two more hands' project was strengthened in collaboration with the Farsi Prossimo Consortium, which is working closely with the municipal administration. With this enhancement, the number of expenses increased at the rate of thousands of weekly deliveries throughout Lombardy for a total of over 60,000 expenses delivered as of December 21, 20020."With the Milano Aiuta network we were able to put in place many projects, including this one by Coop Lombardia, - explained the Councilor for Social and Housing Policies of the Municipality of Milan, Gabriele Rabaiotti - and to reach thousands of people, helping them in many different ways: from delivering meals, groceries and medicines to accompanying medical visits. We will continue to do what we can, even if it is the impoverishment associated with this pandemic crisis that must first of all be countered by resuming work ”. In addition to 'Two Hands in More', Coop Lombardia is expanding the territorial solidarity networks for the delivery of shopping. The 'Buon Fine' and 'Dona la Spesa' projects have allowed Coop Lombardia to be in the front row since the beginning of the emergency together with the Municipalities. The initiative is included in the Coop framework agreement in collaboration with Anci and Civil Protection. The free shopping delivery services are aimed at elderly and disabled adults with motor difficulties, in situations of non self-sufficiency, immunosuppressed people, people in quarantine.
