A possible new vaccine to fight against Covid?
After France and the Sanofi vaccine which could be marketed at the end of 2021, it is Spain's turn to announce the first tests on a solution with Iberian colors.
"The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) has authorized the clinical trial of the PHH-1V vaccine against Covid-19 from the company Hipra," AEPMS announced in a statement.
“This is the first human trial of a vaccine developed in Spain,” she added.
The volunteers who participate in the trials will each receive two doses 21 days apart.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez immediately hailed on Twitter "a big step in the fight against the pandemic".

Hipra, headquartered in Amer, Catalonia (north-eastern Spain), estimates that it could manufacture 400 million doses in 2022 and 1.2 billion in 2023 if the green light is given to use. of his vaccine.
This is based on recombinant proteins, a formula also used by the American company Novavax and the partnership between the French laboratory Sanofi and the British GSK.
The coronavirus has kinds of spikes (viral proteins) on its surface to come into contact with and infect cells.
These proteins can be reproduced, then presented to the immune system to make it react: this is the mechanism that is used in recombinant vaccines such as those against hepatitis B or the papillomavirus.
