He stabbed the woman he had been living with for just a couple of weeks and then kept the body at home for more than 24 hours, until at 5pm today he went to the police station to turn himself in.
It happened in Vigevano (Pavia).
The victim is Marylin Pera, 39 years old.
The man, Marco De Frenza, 59, was placed in custody on charges of voluntary homicide.

After an initial interrogation of the investigators, he was placed in custody on charges of voluntary homicide. The victim, Marylin Pera, a housewife, was the mother of a child from another union. The crime, about which few details have been learned at the moment, was allegedly committed in the bathroom of the woman's home, in Corso Novara 4 in Vigevano, yesterday, Tuesday 10 August, around lunchtime.
