A young whale, of a variety known as "
humpback
", was found
dead
on beaches near Comodoro Rivadavia, in Chubut.
What is unusual is that several residents of the place - mostly teenagers - used
the animal's jaws and back to take selfies
.
The provincial government issues a statement to warn about the "
biological danger
" that this implies.
The official statement was known this Wednesday night, after several neighbors
uploaded
photographs on the back of the corpse to
social networks
and even
introducing the body into the jaws
of the huge mammal, which at this time gives off gases and fluids typical of the decomposition process.
The images went viral and caused a strong rejection in the networks.

"Many people are not aware of the danger that there is to do this type of thing. It is a dead animal and can
have diseases
, both internal and on the skin," explained Mariano Coscarella, director of the Cetacean Project of the San Juan Bosco University. in conversation with

.
"This whale washed up dead on Tuesday afternoon. And since then it has been in a state of putrefaction. There may be bacteria and the reaction of the people who made this type of decision is striking," continued the specialist, who also advised that the animal is "removed from the place", although he admitted that it is "very difficult" due to the remote area in which it stranded.
Through a press release issued by the Directorate of Wild Fauna and Flora it was requested that, "before the stranding of a juvenile humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) on the coasts near the city of Comodoro Rivadavia," the people "
