Hours after the first million Sputnik V vaccines packaged in Argentina were released, the Government released updated figures for the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours,
13,369 new cases
and another
182 deaths
from coronavirus
have been confirmed
.
In this way, the country reached
5,066,253 infections
and
108,569 deaths
from covid-19 since the start of the health crisis.
There are currently 244,273 patients with covid-19 disease, of which
3,623 are admitted to intensive care
.
The occupation of critical beds for all pathologies is 51.6% nationwide and 49.7% in the AMBA.
The data were published by the Ministry of Health, in the usual health report that is prepared daily with the figures provided by the provinces.
The information was published after 6 pm, an hour later than usual due to a technical problem on the official site.

In the last 24 hours, 140,564 tests were uploaded to the national system, with a positivity rate of 9.5%.
This value is within the range recommended by the WHO (10%).
Only Buenos Aires, Corrientes and Córdoba exceeded the thousand infections detected this Thursday.

Vaccines
This morning the first batch of Sputnik V vaccines against the coronavirus packaged in Argentina by the Richmond laboratory was released.
These are 995,125 doses of component 1 and 152,500 doses of component 2.
After the formal act, the Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti announced that a mechanism will be enabled so that
those who were immunized in the framework of a clinical trial or did so abroad
obtain
proof of their vaccination

In addition, from the health portfolio it was announced that "the receipt of
2.2 million doses of AstraZeneca is expected
in the week of August 23" and another
8 million Sinopharm vaccines
during this month.
The vaccines formulated in the country will be added to the
43,932,330 vaccines
that arrived from abroad as of December last year.

According to the official report updated this morning, 40,704,064 were distributed to the provinces, of which
