What is

a "ritual"?

It is an intentional habit that changes the being of a person, or a good practice that, implemented every day, introduces a new approach to everyday life allowing the person not to be a victim of their circumstances.

The Ritual is based on the concept that you cannot choose what happens in life, but

you can

definitely

choose the attitude

with which to face it, as long as you have the right tools.

Here are five rituals suggested by Alice Bush and Michael Carbone, founders of a virtual gym in Italy for mind, body and spirit, Rituale.com, to make summer relaxation effective.

1. Ritual of Intentionality

Being intentional coincides with having goals, planning your day and not starting reactively, because reactivity risks turning into dissatisfaction and the holiday no longer assumes its regenerative function, as it is not in line with a serene mental and physical state.

Practicing intentionality means planning the day to do what makes us happy.

This ritual is ideal for those who: need motivation to take back their life;

wants to achieve ambitious goals;

he wants to start the day by taking care of himself.

2. Ritual of Gratitude

Especially on vacation it is necessary to remove negativity and practice gratitude.

In the morning as soon as you wake up, in the evening before going to bed, or if you want at any time of the day, it is important to be grateful for what you have, even if it is only the warm weather, the sun or an ice cream by the sea, by activating a thought of appreciation.

To practice gratitude it is enough to start with the simplest and most everyday things.

This ritual is ideal for those who: are looking to change their life;

wants to start the week in a positive way;

wants to take care of himself;

he feels the need for a moment of inner calm to rearrange his thoughts.

3. Ritual of Meditation

Ideal to do in the evening before going to bed, where you need to focus on the breath to calm down and reduce the heartbeat. This ritual allows you to be present in the here and now, removing the anxiety of the day, to rest better. In general, all meditative practices also greatly support healing processes: they rebalance numerous physiological and subjective indicators, promote physical and mental health, reduce stress, raise mood, increase psychophysical well-being and therefore make you live better. This ritual is recommended for those who: want to know their body; wants to rediscover the benefits of movement; look for a space in which to dissolve psychophysical tensions; wants to improve the relationship with himself; is looking for a sense of harmony;he wants to restore energy to his daily life; wants to improve stress management; wishes to learn not to judge.

4. Laughter Yoga

Even on vacation it is essential to practice physical movement that regenerates body and mind. Yoga is a resource within everyone's reach and practicing it allows you to face every circumstance with greater awareness. With this specific yoga practice you learn to bring laughter into everyday life and to make it the privileged tool to increase your energy, reduce stress, socialize and enjoy every situation with a calmer mood. The heart of the ritual is the laughter meditation, which consists of laughing for about 10 consecutive minutes, to ensure that our body produces a wonderful mix of wellness hormones by increasing endorphins, serotonin and antibodies and instead reducing cortisol, the stress hormone. This ritual is recommended for those who: are looking for lightness,joy and well-being; he has the desire to find his inner child; needs to release daily stress; believes in deep connection with other people.

5. Dance of the 5 Rhythms

An energetic dance that allows you to eliminate all negative and blocked energies in your inner self.

It is based on the concept of wave and its cyclic movement, like everything in life that moves in cycles: the day, the seasons, the phases of life, relationships, our energy.

Dancing and practicing the wave helps not only to release tension and regain energy and enthusiasm, but to live daily life with more presence, spontaneity and clarity.

This ritual is recommended for those who: have physical tensions in the body, do not like to play sports but would like to get active in some way;

loves to dance but not in public;

feeling stressed, anxious, sad or angry;

he is shy and would like to gain more self-confidence;

he is not satisfied with his body and would like to like himself more;

he has lost motivation and feels bored.
