London Police Chief Cressida Dick has announced a review of allegations of abuse against Britain's Prince Andrew.
In the light of the latest developments, a look at the material should be taken again, said the Scotland Yard boss to the radio station LBC.
"Nobody is above the law," said Dick accordingly.
Official investigations have not yet started.
Virginia Giuffre, who accuses Queen Elizabeth II's second eldest son of abusing her as a minor in London, among other places, recently filed a civil suit in the United States.
Giuffre is demanding compensation from Prince Andrew, reported, among other things, the TV broadcaster ABC, citing Giuffre and her lawyers.
Prince Andrew denies the allegations.
The incident is related to the abuse scandal involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison in 2019.
Prince Andrew had stayed overnight at Epstein's home on several occasions in the USA and the Caribbean.
He does not want to have heard of the machinations of his friend.
Giuffre claims to have been made a sex slave by Epstein and his ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell as a teenager.
Andrew has promised to help all relevant investigative authorities.
Despite all inquiries, he has not yet given evidence to the New York Public Prosecutor's Office.
Most recently, Andrew had come under increasing pressure in Great Britain because of his alleged involvement in the Epstein scandal, had given up all public duties for the royals and hardly appeared in public.
