The fact of showing it means that all Argentines realize
the importance of having an institution like this
, with 200 years in the country.
It's something wonderful, "he told

I came to compete for the title of the contract chair, being a person that nobody knew, living in Rafaela.
And I came here because at that time they called an international contest with international juries, "he added.

In the middle of a colorful stage, featuring an imposing LED screen adorned with different virtual geometric figures and with the presence of national symbols, the conduction was in charge of journalists Luciana Rubinska and Marcelo Bonelli.

Next, part of the history of the most important public institution of higher education in Latin America was reviewed whose creation, on August 12, 1821 in the Manzana de las Luces, was inaugurated three days later, in an act in the Church of San Ignacio.
The projection of celebratory videos and two mappings generated emotion and some tears among the graduates.
One, on the facade of the headquarters of Avenida Las Heras of the Faculty of Engineering and another, in Plaza Houssay, reflected the scientific potential of the University.
A new surprise was the moment when the faculties were illuminated.
Later, Ramiro Fernández Sarraf, an advanced student of Dentistry and president of the University Federation of Buenos Aires (FUBA), spoke on behalf of the students.
The closing speeches were given by Barbieri and Alberto Fernández.
“Today I have to be the voice of the UBA students, which fills me with emotion.
The UBA is a world heritage site.
In a society as beaten as ours, the UBA is a reference for not lowering its arms where the massiveness is not against quality ”, he said.
“Having a degree at UBA opens doors all over the world because it is synonymous with educational quality.
It is to leave a mark in history ”, he added.
Then Barbieri spoke.
He reviewed the history of the UBA, with “its lights and its leftovers”.
And he concluded: “200 years after our foundation, I come to propose that, leveraged in this vigorous present, we build together an increasingly just and inclusive university.
Let's continue for 200 years shaping the future that our country needs ”.
The event was closed by President Fernández, who made mention of the personal link he has with the UBA, which he had as a student and now as a teacher at the Faculty of Law.
“The University would not have been what it is if it had not achieved its gratuity, a central achievement for Argentine knowledge.
Alfonsín provided a space of freedom to access university study "" I will not have the days of my life to give thanks to this Faculty and University.
My way of giving it back is to pass on what others taught me.
We are a society where we can all grow in plurality and diversity ”, he said.
