Roger Federer has to have surgery on his right knee again and will be out "for several months".
He announced it himself with a video on Instagram in which he explains, addressing his fans, that the injury suffered after Wimbledon is more serious than expected.
"I want to update you on what is happening. It was not easy - he says -, I have had several visits and medical consultations for my knee and this is not the way to go on. I need another operation, and we have decided to do it. ".
"I will be out for many months - adds Federer -, it will be very hard but I want to feel good and give myself a little hope of returning to play".
"I'm a realist, I know what another operation means at my age - says Federer - but I want to be healthy and active. Thanks for all the messages you sent me, I wish you the best".
