Given the delay in the delivery of Sputnik V vaccines, the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, and the presidential adviser, Cecilia Nicolini, traveled to Russia on Monday to
review the dose delivery schedule.
As specified by the health ministry through a statement, the officials will meet with representatives of the Gamaleya Institute to review the vaccine delivery schedule.
They will also share "the results of joint interchangeability studies and learn about the advances in vaccination research in adolescents and pediatrics that are being carried out in that country, as well as the use of boosters."
"The agenda with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) includes reviewing the vaccine delivery schedule, the status of dose production -especially component 2- and the steps to follow within the framework of joint work," they indicated in a release.
