In the last hours of the long weekend, the Government released updated figures for the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours,
3,636 new cases
and another
64 deaths
from coronavirus
were confirmed
in Argentina.
The number of infections is the lowest of the entire second wave: you have to go back to the beginning of March to find a lower number.
More precisely, to Sunday 7, when 2,922 infections were reported.
For the third consecutive day, the positivity rate remained below the 10% recommended by the WHO.
But this occurred with a very low number of tests (39,608), the lowest since the beginning of May.

This Monday, the Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti traveled with the presidential adviser Cecilia Nicolini to Russia to review
the schedule for the delivery of doses of Sputnik V
, especially component 2 that until now has been received in much lower quantities than the first.
As specified by the health ministry, the officials will meet with representatives of the Gamaleya Institute to review the schedule.
They will also share "the results of joint interchangeability studies and learn about the advances in vaccination research in adolescents and pediatrics."

Yesterday, the distribution of the first million Sputnik V vaccines packaged in Argentina by Richmond Laboratories was completed in the provinces.
There are 994,500 doses of component 1 and 152,500 of component 2.
According to the Ministry of Health, 2.2 million doses of AstraZeneca and another 8 million Sinopharm vaccines are expected to arrive this month.
As of this morning, 42,786,414 doses had been distributed to the provinces, of which
almost 6 million remain to be applied
.
A total of 26,649,961 people received at least one vaccine.
This represents
58.18%
of the population, out of the 45,808,747 inhabitants estimated by INDEC this year.
Within the total of vaccinated, 10,201,631 people are included who also received the second dose with which the immunization schedule is completed.

of the population.
