(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 16 - Brazil has recorded another 270 deaths and 13,957 new cases diagnosed for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to data sent by the 27 federal states to the Ministry of Health and the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass).
According to local media, the number of victims in 24 hours is the lowest since January.
With the updated toll, the South American giant counts 569,058 dead and 20,364,099 infected since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Health, more than 19 million people have already recovered from the coronavirus in the country. (HANDLE).
