(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, AUGUST 16 - Fueled by heat and wind, new and vast fires - after those of yesterday - are spreading near Jerusalem.
The fire front was advancing so fast that firefighters evacuated residents of Givat Yearim from their homes, while those of EinRafa and Ein Nakuba were told to prepare to leave their homes.
The police - according to the media - said they were ready, in case of necessity, to evacuate the Hadassah hospital, the largest in the city located in Ein Karem, but the hospital officials said they were ruling out this possibility.
