(by Alessandra Baldini) (ANSA) - NEW YORK, 16 AUG - Madonna turns 63 today and announces a "historic" agreement with Warner Music Group: a global partnership that includes its entire catalog of music recorded so far.


    The deal, which sees the queen of pop return to the label with which she debuted at a very young age, includes the Sire / Maverick / Warner catalog, plus the three most recent studio albums - MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X - which were released by Interscope. Records but will join the Warner catalog in 2025. Madonna left Interscope in 2020.


    There are 17 studio albums in all, as well as singles, soundtrack recordings, live albums and compilations.


   "From the beginning, Warner Music Group has helped bring my music and my vision to all fans around the world with the utmost care and consideration. They have been amazing partners and I am delighted to embark on this new chapter with them to celebrate my catalog of the latest. 40 years ", said lapopstar announcing the agreement.


    With over 300 million albums sold worldwide, seven Grammys and dozens of other music awards, Madonna is the most successful female singer of all time. According to GuyOseary of Maverick, its longtime manager, "the new partnership will bring to fruition what many fans have been waiting patiently for: a celebration of Madonna's revolutionary catalog. We are working closely with Warner Music Group to breathe new life into these iconic works." In practice this means that from 2022, when Madonnacelebrates the 40th anniversary of her career, a vast multi-year series of catalogs will begin to come out.


   Madonna will be curating deluxe editions of her most famous albums to which they will add new accompanying editions of special events, all under the supervision of the Warner team. However, the partnership does not cover new recordings: for new musical projects, Mrs. Ciccone can turn to wherever she wants. (HANDLE).
