More than 500,000 people have signed the referendum for the legalization of euthanasia, over 70,000 signatures collected online.
To make it official, Filomena Gallo and Marco Cappato, on behalf of the Committee promoting the Legal Euthanasia referendum and the Luca Coscioni Association.
"In expressing deep gratitude for the thousands of volunteers who are dedicating part of their holidays to providing the public service of exercising the right to referendum - they say - we want to underline that the collection of signatures naturally continues with even greater force, with the 'goal to collect at least 750,000 by 30 September in order to secure the result from any possibility of errors in the collection, delays of the Public Administration and difficulties in returning the forms ".
