Agenas, Sardinia exceeds the threshold for intensive (11%). Sicily at 9%

The Region has exceeded the maximum threshold of 10% envisaged by the new parameters for intensive care, reaching 11% (+ 1%), according to the data collected by the Agenas and relating to 16 August. Sicily, on the other hand, is stable with 9% for the intensive employment rate (ANSA)


Sardinia exceeds the maximum threshold of 10% envisaged by the new parameters for intensive care, reaching 11% (+ 1%) according to the data collected by Agenas and relating to 16 August.

Sicily, on the other hand, was stable with 9% of the intensive occupancy rate.

For the two regions, the incidence of infections per 100 thousand inhabitants envisaged by the parameters at 50, stands at levels above 147.3 and 140.16, respectively.

Lazio was stable with 7% for the intensive and Friuli Venezia Giulia and Piedmont grew by 1% respectively to 4% and 2%.

Sicily over admissions threshold at 16% Calabria at 14%

It is Sicily that today for the first time exceeds the 15% threshold, set by the new parameters, for admissions to non-critical medical areas.

In fact, according to the data collected by Agenas as of August 16, the region stands at 16% of the occupancy rate of the departments with an increase of 1%.

The value of Calabria also rose to 14% (+ 1%), of Sardinia to 9% (+ 1%) and of Basilicata to 10% (+ 1%). 

Intensive employment rate Italy rises to 5% (+ 1%)

The employment rate of intensive care units in Italy is rising. According to the daily surveys of Agenas referring to yesterday, in fact, Italy stands at 5% with an increase of 1%. On the other hand, the employment rate of the departments remained stable, remaining at 6%. Both parameters widen below the expected threshold of 10% and 15% respectively. The incidence of infections in Italy was 74.34% as of August 15.
