This morning shortly after 6 pm, unknown arsonists threw ignited triggers over the surrounding wall on via Pratica di Mare of the presidential estate of Castelporziano, the summer residence of the head of state.
Some trees and a small portion of Mediterranean scrub and shrubs immediately caught fire.
Some citizens have alerted the fire brigade.
The teams of the forest police and firefighters in force in the presidential estate also arrived on the spot.
The damage was fortunately limited to about twenty square meters of burnt land.
President Mattarella, it is learned, reiterated his condemnation for acts of crime affecting the civil community and thanked the citizens who reported the fire and the rescue teams of the firefighters: thanks to their timely intervention they were avoided very serious consequences.
