The list of fires in the summer of 2021 continues to grow.
In the Aude, two forest fires broke out on Monday evening in Bizanet and Durban.
They covered 40 and 20 ha respectively.

According to the Aude prefecture, 560 firefighters were mobilized on the two places, and 737 households were deprived of electricity because of these fires. Enedis is on site to remedy this cut. 80 firefighters from Hérault notably came as reinforcements. Colonel Jean-Luc Beccari, head of the Aude firefighters, notably asked all employers of volunteer firefighters to make them available as quickly as possible.
Residents of the countryside of Peyriac-de-Mer, Pech Rascasse and Montmillan were evacuated, and 4 Canadairs arrived in the early afternoon according to the Independent.
Access to the La Clape, Cremade-Pinede and Fontfroide forest areas is prohibited.
These fires are favored by the very dry weather that the South of France has experienced in recent days, and strong gusts of winds further complicated the work of firefighters on Tuesday.
