The number of hospitalized patients remains on the rise in the country. The logical continuation of the epidemic resumption at the end of July.

What does the epidemic plateau have in store for us, which seems to have been confirmed for several days now?

The incidence rate nationwide is not increasing as much as it has in the past two weeks.

It is now a plateau that seems to be confirmed from the point of view of contamination.

It remains to be seen whether this will precede a new epidemic outbreak or if it comes to record the fact that the bulk of the fourth wave would be behind us.

While waiting for these answers, there is a situation that remains unfavorable in the country: hospitalizations.

On Monday, the number of patients treated in French establishments passed the 10,000 sick mark on Monday.

The trend remains on the rise since the health authorities noted this Tuesday 10,219 patients hospitalized for a Covid infection.

It is the same for patients suffering from a severe form of the disease requiring management within critical care services.

The latest report shows 1953 patients treated in these specialized services.

In the past 24 hours, 245 new patients have been admitted there.

Over the same period, and still in hospital, 111 Covid patients died from the infection, against 97 recorded on Monday and 68 last Tuesday.
