PS5 turned up for over 2,000 euros on eBay: One detail is particularly eye-catching

It is not uncommon for the PS5 to be resold at exorbitant prices.

But this one on eBay is really special in many ways.

Before Sony unveiled the PlayStation 5 * in the summer of 2020, many unofficial concept art was circulating on the web.

One of these designs was actually a devkit of the PS5 - a variant of the console that only game developers received prior to release.

The Devkit does not have any special features, only the appearance differs from the standard version.

Now such a specimen has turned up on eBay.

The seller charges over 2,000 euros for it, but the price is not the most surprising aspect of this offer.

PS5: eBay seller offers "PizzaStation 5"

The console has been hard to come by since the PS5 was released in November 2020.

The shortage has called resellers, so-called "scalpers", who usually buy up contingents with bots and sell the PS5 on at high prices *.

Prices of over 1,000 euros on eBay, Amazon and Co. are therefore no longer surprising.

With this PS5 devkit it can be argued that the price of 2,018 euros is justified, as it is a copy that is not regularly available.

It's not the price that catches the eye on this eBay ad, though.

The Devkit offer can no longer be found on eBay, but the screenshot of the ad was shared on Reddit, among others.
