(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 17 - Two nuns, Sister Mary Abbud and Sister Regina Roba, of the congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart, were killed together with three civilians in an ambush on the road that connects the South Sudanese capital Juba to Nimule, on the border with Uganda. The nuns, with some sisters and several faithful, were traveling on a bus that was attacked by gunmen not yet identified. Several other people were injured, according to a statement by the general secretary of the archdiocese of Juba, Father Samuel Abe, reported from Nigrizia. The incident was confirmed by the Sudanese authorities. (HANDLE).
