the higher amount of EUR 18.36 per month will begin to be collected in August. The German Press Agency (dpa) reported on this on Wednesday (August 18).

According to dpa, the contribution service of ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio announced on Wednesday that it would start at the end of August and also inform contribution payers about the adjustment of the contribution amount depending on the chosen payment method.

The higher license fee applies from August.

Anyone who has arranged the transfer of the broadcasting fee by direct debit (SEPA mandate) will automatically adjust the higher amount.
