This Tuesday, a tragic episode was experienced in the town of Río de los Sauces, in the department of Calamuchita, Córdoba, where a
three-year-old girl
lost her life after being
run over by her own mother.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m., after a woman finished
washing her vehicle in the front yard of her house
.
The shot accidentally passed over his daughter, who could not resist the severity of the injuries.
"He finished washing the car and started it to take it to the gallery, so afterwards he vacuumed it. On that journey he
accelerated, the vehicle left and ran over the little girl,
" said Mateo Vera, head of the Calamuchita Department, in dialogue with The Twelve TV.
For his part, the Chief Commissioner provided more information in this regard and specified that the fatal victim "
was sitting in an armchair in the gallery
."
For her part, the woman collided head-on with her Citroën C4 against one of the walls of the house and, on the way, ran over her daughter.
Immediately, the relatives took the minor to the local dispensary, where she was
admitted lifeless
and the doctors could do nothing to revive her.
Shortly after, the health center professionals confirmed the death.
The death of the little girl is investigated as
"death of doubtful etiology"
.
Córdoba experienced two similar events in 2020
During 2020, Córdoba suffered
two tragic episodes
in which the fatal victims lost their lives when they were run over by their own parents.
The first case happened exactly one year before the 3-year-old was run over by her mother in her backyard.
It happened on Monday, August 17, 2020, when a father ran over his two-year-old daughter with his tractor and killed her in the rural area of Río Primero.
Police sources indicated that the girl was referred to a health center about 50 kilometers from the capital of Córdoba, but could not survive the injuries.
According to the medical report, he suffered a
severe head injury
.
Almost three months later, during the night of Monday, November 16,
a 10-month-old baby died after being rammed by her father
, who was driving his car into the garage without realizing that his daughter was there.
After the accident, in the Villa El Libertador neighborhood, south of the city of Córdoba, the little girl was transferred to the Prince of Asturias Hospital, where the doctors confirmed that she had died.
