Civil Security posted an impressive video on Twitter on Tuesday, August 17.
We see a Canadair passing just a few meters from a pleasure boat in the bay of Saint-Tropez.
The bomber fought against the serious fire which affected the Var.
Following this incident, civil security called for caution.
"For your safety and that of our pilots, be very careful while moving away from the overflight zone (500 m minimum)", she specified before adding that it was also necessary to leave the zone free during one hour after the last plane passed.
This area, also called the “scooping area”, allows the Canadair to fly close to the surface of the water to fill the bunkers before dumping them on the flames of the fire.
