Salto back, passage of beam, jumping, the robots of Boston Dynamics, specialist in robotics, are past masters of Parkour.
Atlas is 1.52 m tall and weighs 86 kg.
It uses battery powered hydraulic and electric motors for movement and has 3 on-board computers.
“It's not the robot who magically decides to do parkour,” quipped Benjamin Stephens of Boston Dynamics.
It was designed to be used as a research and development tool.
The team claim that Atlas has evolved over the past decade and is now able to adapt movements already in their repertoire based on what their cameras see.
The result is that it doesn't need to be pre-programmed for every move.

Dancing robots from Boston Dynamics: "It's a feat, a technological breakthrough"
If Atlas perfectly masters the discipline of Parkour, he has also proved that he is an outstanding dancer.
Coordinated and in rhythm with the music, the swing of this robot is really worth the detour.
