Romance, drama and a touch of comedy: all these characteristics have made the "The Kissing Booth" series from Netflix * a success. Several years ago, the streaming service secured the rights to the novels of the same name by author Beth Reekles. With “The Kissing Booth” she landed a real stroke of luck: at the age of just 15, Reekles published her story on the Wattpad platform, where hobby authors regularly post their own stories online. After all, the romance was so popular
that the teenage girl was able to publish it through a publisher some time later
