SPIEGEL:

You have a fake account on Telegram that was called "Nina Hagen Officially" until a few days ago.

Lateral thinker slogans were posted there.

You hired lawyers.

What have they achieved so far?

Nina Hagen:

As far as I know, the Telegram account has still not been deleted.

We never get tired of repeatedly asking Telegram to take action, but the company has not responded despite multiple contacts.

They're based somewhere in Dubai and don't have a real company structure.

So the problem is: who can I negotiate with in this case, who can actually be sued?

We'll have to go elsewhere at some point to tackle this type of cybercrime.

SPIEGEL:

What is being posted under your fake profile?

Hagen:

They post theses and slogans under my name that I detest.

They take posts that I've shared on Facebook and edit them so that everything is taken out of context.

They pretend I am interacting in the comment areas and trumpeting weird perseverance slogans all the time.

I don't have a Telegram profile myself, but I've seen screenshots that show that this fake Nina Hagen wrote in the comment area, for example, “don't let yourself be ruined”.

SPIEGEL:

Did you try to contact the authors directly?

Hagen:

I personally asked the criminals on my official Facebook page to delete the fake account on Telegram.

This is currently the only way for me to personally counteract this hustle and bustle.

They want to do me serious harm by ruining my reputation.

I will defend myself against it, also with the support of my fans, friends, my lawyers and with God's blessing.

SPIEGEL:

How and when did you find out about this?

Hagen:

Just recently: my friends pointed this out on my Facebook page.

SPIEGEL:

Have you received messages of hatred because people thought you were a lateral thinker?

Hagen:

A Facebook user posted a screenshot of the fake Telegram profile on her page, with bad insults against me.

So she fell for the fake account.

I then took a screenshot and published it on my website because I saw no other way to defend myself against this bullying, hate speech and all the misunderstandings.

They post calls to sell clothes on my behalf whose slogans I detest.

SPIEGEL:

Do you have a theory as to why you of all people was chosen for this?

Hagen:

I don't have a theory, but I think very practically that it cannot be peaceful people who unjustifiably misuse my name for their agenda, but rather people to whom truth, integrity, non-violence, peace and justice are like thorns must be in the eyes.
