(ANSA) - BEIJING, AUGUST 20 - China has approved a strict privacy law, in force since November 1, to prevent companies from collecting sensitive personal data against the increase in Internet scams, data leaks and abuses against giants technology and the web on the personal information of customers. According to the rules approved by the Standing Committee of the National People's Assembly, the legislative branch of the Chinese parliament, state and private companies that handle personal information must reduce data collection and have user consent. State security systems will retain access to personal data. (HANDLE).
