Therefore, it is appropriate "to carry out an extensive tracing and containment of cases, to maintain high attention and to apply and respect measures and behaviors to limit the further increase in viral circulation".
Sardinia with 156.4, Sicily with 155.8 and Tuscany with 127.3 are the regions with the highest incidence of cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in Italy
. These are the 7-day incidence data per 100,000 inhabitants for the reference period 13-19 August (updated to 19 August) contained in the table of indicators in the ISS-Ministry of Health monitoring under review today in the control room. The ranking is followed by Umbria (92.6), Emilia Romagna (87.5) and Calabria (81.4). Five are below the threshold of 50 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants: Friulia Venezia Giulia (46.1); Lombardy (34.9); Molise (24.6); Piedmont (38); Puglia (43.9).
