On the eve of a sixth Saturday of mobilization against the health pass, with demonstrations planned across France, the epidemic figures continue to climb. Public Health France identified this Friday 214 new entrants in critical care services, against 186 the day before, for a total of 2,091 patients in these services reserved for the most serious cases. This is less than 3 days ago when nearly 300 new patients in serious condition were registered. Most of these intensive care hospitalizations are still concentrated in Île-de-France, the Paca region, Occitanie and the West Indies.

Overall, across the country, the barrier of 10,000 hospitalizations has been crossed since Monday and 10,515 people with the SARS-CoV2 virus are occupying hospital beds this Friday evening.

A figure that has been steadily increasing for several weeks and the start of the fourth wave due to the Delta variant.

83 new deaths are also to be deplored this Friday.

Since the start of the pandemic, more than 113,000 people have died from Covid-19 in France.
