An avalanche fell on Route 40, in Villa La Angostura, and completely impeded circulation.
Before, National Highway had cut the passage on that same route and the junction with 231, towards San Martín de los Andes.
The avalanche of mud and trees
fell around 11pm, near the north entrance of the Correntoso hotel
.
As reported by
Diario Andino
, "to get from Villa Correntoso to Bandurrias and Arauco, it is necessary to circulate through the internal streets."
This situation was added to the
closure of the Route of the Seven Lakes between San Martín and Villa La Angostura
due to heavy snowfall and snow circulation.
National highway announced that the blockade would be maintained until conditions improved.

Because of the snowfalls, the Andean Zone School Council decided that educational establishments
teach
"
classes virtually
in the morning shift."
They also explained that "the afternoon and evening shifts will have classes normally."
They indicated that the decision includes
all levels and modalities
of the schools contemplated by the agency, also private ones, with the exception of the town of Dina Huapi.
According to the National Weather Service,
the snow could continue with
a minimum temperature of 5 degrees below zero and a maximum of 0 degrees.

provincial route 26 and on national route 40,
two buses and some thirty cars were stranded due to bad weather conditions and the
lack of use of wheel chains

The authorities recommend
not to travel
or to do so with extreme caution.
