The penultimate weekend of August keeps all its promises on the roads of France, on this Saturday classified red by Bison smart, with a peak of nearly 840 km of traffic jams throughout the country.
The difficulties are concentrated mainly in the South-East, in particular on the A7 motorway between Lyon and Marseille in the South-North direction.

Between Orange and Lyon, the journey time was extended by at least an hour, as well as in the opposite direction, according to Vinci Autoroutes, manager of the A7.
The A9 motorway, on the Mediterranean rim between Narbonne and Orange, was also congested.
It took 2 hours and 10 minutes to connect these two cities against less than 1 hour 40 minutes in normal times.

However, it is not only in the south-eastern quarter of the country that motorists must be patient.
Traffic is slowed down on the A63 motorway between the Spanish border, Hendaye, and Bordeaux.
Vinci said at midday that it took at least two more hours on this axis to reach the Gironde capital.
To reach Poitiers, via the A10 motorway, it takes, again, an hour longer than usual.

Among the lucky ones, there are motorists driving on the A8 motorway between Aix-en-Provence and the Italian border.
Vinci Autoroute does not note any major difficulty on this axis.
On the A10 motorway, despite the difficulties encountered in Charente-Maritime and in Deux-Sèvres around Niort, traffic is considerably more fluid between the Poitou region and Paris.
Sunday, the traffic conditions are also expected to be quite busy.
The day is classified orange throughout France by Bison futé, with additional difficulties still in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and around the Mediterranean.
