"I am very worried. I fear that the government's action will be stopped in the autumn and we cannot afford it."

The president of Confindustria Carlo Bonomi said this at the Cl meeting.

"We have two important steps ahead: the administrative in big cities and from August 3 the white semester. The distinctions of the parties have already begun. I am very worried that the government's action on the reforms is slowed down by a heterogeneous majority", he concludes.

"We - explains Bonomi - have very important reforms to make. I'm not saying it's the last resort, but today we have a historic opportunity if we want to create a modern, efficient and inclusive state".

Noting that Confindustria "never gives judgments to the government but to individual measures", Bonomi adds: "I acknowledge to Draghi that I have accelerated a fundamental vaccination campaign. Now carry out the reforms. On this the intermediate bodies have a fundamental value".

"I was struck by the possibility of sitting down at a table and giving a way to the country" and not having done so, at the possibility of "responding to the two great unknowns: health and reforms. We have failed and I too am taking it. but the unions made a big mistake. We could build what our fathers did with polio, we don't have time to waste, "Bonomi added.

"On the subject of the law" on compulsory vaccination, he added, "it is too easy to send the can back to politics. There is a difference in position between the parties that will hardly get us to a law. But we can sit at a table today. and update the safety protocols. I am ready even today if the unions want to sit at a table. We are a community ".

"We must pay young people and women more and better - he said -. It is a cultural process that we must carry out to build the idea of a large and inclusive community".

"Although the numbers say that there has not been a peak" in deaths at work, "we cannot accept even a single death. Joint commissions on safety issues can be set up in every company", said the president of Confindustria. .

"I - he explains - must know ex ante if a safety system on a machine has been deactivated. I am ready tomorrow morning to sign on the participation of employees in safety. My responsibility towards the country comes before anything else", he concludes.

In the country, the "first bottleneck is the school. We have to restart the school in September but we are at the point of last year, we have done nothing and the unions" also on the school side, "they say no to the Green pass", he stressed Bonomi.
