President Joe Biden could order American airlines to help transport evacuated people from Afghanistan, yet another effort to try to solve the chaos in Kabul.

This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, which speaks of a "civil aviation emergency program" which also provides for the increase of US bases to bring Afghan refugees.

In detail, the White House would be studying the activation of the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (Craf), created in 1952 in order to provide the Pentagon with civilian aircraft in case of emergencies, such as an airlift to organize which availability is not enough of military aircraft. If the program is launched, explains the WSJ, at least five US airlines will have to make available 20 airliners that will flank the military flights engaged in the evacuation of Americans and Afghans from Afghanistan. Civilian aircraft will not be able to fly over Kabul, which has fallen into the hands of the Taliban, but from US bases in Qatar, Bahrain and Germany they will help sort the thousands of evacuated from the Afghan capital on board military flights.

"What is happening in Kabul is a shame for America, a huge stain on American history and reputation." Words of Donald Trump, who during a rally in Alabama attacks Joe Biden defining "a terrible mistake" what the White House has decided on Afghanistan: "We are facing an unprecedented disaster", added the former US president, adding how "Europe and NATO no longer believe in us". "With me America was respected - he concluded - now the Taliban flag flies over the American embassy".
