In Nuremberg, a drunk e-scooter driver fell around ten meters into the medieval city moat.
Fortunately, the 26-year-old only got a foot injury and a few other minor wounds, the police said.
Accordingly, the young man was in the city center late Saturday evening when he apparently lost control of the electric scooter and fell.
According to the officials, a pedestrian whom the driver had passed shortly before heard a "thud."
When she looked around, all she saw on the sidewalk was the man's scooter.
She looked over the boundary wall and saw the fallen man.
She called the police and rescue workers to take care of the man.
According to the police, an alcohol test in the 26-year-old showed a value of more than 1.7 per mille.
He is now being investigated for being drunk in traffic.
In serpentine lines on the city motorway
There was also an incident with an e-scooter and too much alcohol in Cologne: According to the police, a 31-year-old was on the A57 in the Cologne city area early on Saturday morning.
Another road user dialed the emergency number when shortly before 4 a.m. he noticed the woman who was driving the electric scooter in a serpentine manner on the highway.
Police stopped the driver at the Ehrenfeld junction.
A blood test showed an alcohol level of approximately two per thousand.
