The 17-year-old daughter of the Norwegian Crown Prince couple has tested positive for the corona virus, as the royal family announced on Sunday evening.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra will now be isolated at home on Gut Skaugum.

The rest of the family has not yet tested positive.

Nevertheless, the incident has consequences for everyone.

Crown Prince Haakon and Mette-Marit had to cancel all events in the next few days - including those related to their 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Among other things, they had planned a meeting with young people to commemorate the founding of their fund 20 years ago.

The so-called Crown Prince Couple Fund is intended to help young people who are on the fringes of society.

It was founded on the day of their wedding on August 25, 2001.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra is second in line to the throne in Norway after her father, Crown Prince Haakon.

She is attending high school in Oslo.
