Anyone who follows the decisions of the Ministry of Health and the Corona Cabinet when it comes to determining countries from which to return without isolation, or with a week of isolation, gets the impression that these decisions are made for one obvious reason and that is buttocks coverage.
After all, there is not much logic in these lists and especially in the decision regarding the start dates of the "voting" of those countries.
As a bystander, making holiday bookings and also canceling them in accordance with the isolation provisions, it seems that some of these decisions are made according to air traffic data and not according to morbidity data in the countries from which the holidaymakers come (which is you and me).

A few weeks ago Switzerland was a country from which it was possible to reach without the need for isolation.
Due to the closure of many holiday destinations, there was a lively movement to Switzerland.
Airlines have added flights and the people of Israel have discovered, anew, the country of Johanna Sapiri.
For those who do not know, or do not remember, this is the Swiss author who wrote the popular children's book 'Heidi the Mountain Girl'.
The Ministry of Health saw the increase in traffic to Switzerland and decided that those returning from it would have to go into isolation.
The airlines as well as the Israeli vacationers saw that Switzerland was closing down (or in fact becoming a country whose return requires isolation) and diverted the flights to Austria - a twin country of Switzerland, no less beautiful than it and also significantly cheaper.
Airlines have added more and more flights and according to data from the Airports Authority tens of thousands of Israelis have started booking flights to Vienna and Salzburg (yes Israir has announced direct flights to this destination).
The growing numbers of travelers to Austria have hurt the Corona captains so we were told last night (Monday) that starting August 31st, all returnees from Austria will be charged with one week in isolation.

Why as of August 31st? After all, if there is an increase in morbidity in Austria, the isolation must be applied from today. And if there are "rumors" that people fly to countries like Switzerland or Germany (the return of which requires isolation), but return to Israel via Austria - then there is nothing new about it. Just as there was nothing new about other destinations. After all, even today you can buy a one-way ticket for a vacation in Austria and return via Hungary or the Czech Republic. Two countries on a narrow and strange list from which returnees should not be isolated.
The decisions of the Ministry of Health, it seems, are made in "pull out". First they are "pumped" as an experimental balloon for this or that health reporter. Prepare the public for the fact that they may be "painted" in insulation paints, and after a day or two add those countries to the lists.
So here it is: the public in Israel has been vaccinated.
No small part of the third vaccine as well.
If the Ministry of Health does not believe in this vaccine, then they will close it here.
