With the aim of

promoting tourism in Argentina

, the PreViaje 2 program is already underway, a tool -in its second edition- devised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation.

The great attraction of this plan is that it offers travelers who buy their trips through Argentina in advance tempting them to return a

credit for 50%

of the consumption made.

Depending on the date on which the services are acquired - packages, tickets, hotel stays, rental cars, excursions, etc. - and the date the trip begins, this credit can be used from November 2021 to December 2022.

Beyond the appeal of a travel incentive plan, we consulted a few participating providers for advice on

how to take advantage of the benefits

, and what to consider to take advantage of it.

Talampaya National Park, in La Rioja.

1. Choice of providers

First step.

Not all companies that sell tourist services and not all hotels are enrolled in the program.

Therefore, to take advantage of the benefit, it is important to check who the participating providers are, something that can be viewed at www.previaje.gob.ar/prestadores-inscriptos

Attention: Pre-trip does not work for renting houses or private apartments.

2. Attention with dates

"This year, unlike last year, the Pre-Trip is with

relatively short deadlines

," says Pablo Bazzetti, general manager of the All Seasons agency.

Explain: "To travel in November, you have to have your sale closed, invoiced, before August 31, although later you have more time to load it (until September 20). Therefore, the main tip to travel this year and the The next thing with this program - especially in November and December - is that people have to be very attentive to the times. "

According to Bazzetti, many inquire, but this time there is not so much time between the inquiry and the format we are used to within the Argentine destination, which is that people book more at the last minute.

"That is why it is important for the person who wants to travel to be clear about what they want and to be able to meet the Pre-trip deadlines," he concludes.

The End of the World Train, in Ushuaia.

The deadlines for traveling in November are already clear: this week remains to be decided.

Whoever plans to travel in December 2021, must have vouchers issued between September 30, 2021 (must be uploaded before October 20).

If the idea is to travel in January 2022, the purchase must be made before October 31, 2021, while if it is purchased to travel in February 2022, the invoice must be issued before December 31, 2021.

3. Flexibility

Pre-trip or without pre-trip, flexibility is something that is here to stay.

At least while we travel in a pandemic.

"The most important thing is that travelers are attentive to making

flexible reservations

, which allow date changes without penalties," says Paula Cristi, general manager of Despegar for Argentina and Uruguay.

Cristi points out that it is the most sought after option since the pandemic began.

4. Packages

From the agencies, they mark the advantage of acquiring different products in one place.

"Many people want to buy a hotel, on the other hand, an excursion, but if you unify everything in a single provider as an agency, the person will save time and when loading the vouchers, they will have a single invoice", explains Bazzetti by All Seasons

And he adds that "the benefit is very good, but you have to have intelligence to unify the largest number of services in a single provider, in addition to being attentive to the times to be able to reserve, specify and load the reservation."

Despegar also points to the advantage of the packages: "They have excellent financing options and are cheaper than buying each service separately," says Cristi.

"The packages, which include exclusive flights, selected hotels and destination services, are experiences specially designed by the agency's team of specialists so that each traveler has a tailor-made vacation," adds the specialist.

According to data from the first days of operation of the program, in Despegar, the most chosen destinations have been Iguazú, Bariloche, Salta, Ushuaia and Mendoza.

5. Buffers

To obtain the benefit, it is necessary to reach a minimum accumulated amount of $ 10,000 (it can be with one or more vouchers).

The minimum amount per voucher is $ 1,000.

The benefits generated within the program have a minimum of $ 5,000 and a maximum of $ 100,000 per person (over 18 years of age).

Attention that this depends on the type of provider.

For purchases at travel agencies, lodging, airlines, and long-distance bus companies, the cap is $ 100,000.

For the rest of the tourist providers, the cap is $ 5,000 in total.

6. Use of credit

The amount obtained as a refund can be used from the travel start date.
