(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 24 - Judging by the tickets sold and the immediate sold out, even before starting the most awaited film of the Venice Film Festival (1-11 September) is Denis Villeneuve's Dune. "The request for tickets to Dunes greatly exceeds the availability of seats (which I remember is reduced by 50% due to Covid). I am very sorry for the disappointment of so many" wrote the director Alberto Barbera on twitter after they were sold out in the blink of an eye. the screenings will be posted as soon as it has been possible to get the tickets for the films from the Biennale website.

The film Fuori Concorso starring Timothee Chalamet will have its world premiere in the Sala Grande on the Lido on 3 September and, due to the incredible follow-up of the New York actor, launched by Luca Guadagnino's Call me with your name and today among the most beloved American stars, fans are expected to perch from the night. if it weren't for the pandemic reasons, once again this year the red carpet will be obscured by the anti-crowd wall.

Filmed in Hungary and Jordan, Dune will hit theaters in Italy from 16 September, distributed by Warner Bros and is one of the titles on which we really hope the turnout in cinemas, at least in Italy.

Adapted for the big screen of Frank Herbert's best seller of the same name, one of the best science fiction stories written with a visionary reach that mixes archaic and technology, Dune is the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and talented young man, the son of the duke, born with a great destiny for which he will have to travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure a future for his family and people. As evil forces face off in conflict to secure control of the planet's most precious resource - a spice capable of unlocking humanity's greatest potential - only those who overcome their fears will survive. In the trailer released a month ago, with 2.5 million views, you can already see the entire stellar cast: besides Timothée Chalamet,Zendaya (the two meet in the dunes of Arrakis), Oscar Isaac, JoshBrolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem.
