The Ministry of Defense, the Israel Land Authority and the Ministry of Finance have agreed to bring forward the schedules for the evacuation of 2,500 dunams in three major IDF camps. In the coming days, about 1,300 dunams will be evacuated from the Sirkin camp in Petah Tikva. Will be marketed later this year

The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Eshel, and the Director of the Israel Land Authority, Yanki Quint, signed a new agreement to advance the schedules for evacuating the Sirkin camp in Petah Tikva and a number of other military complexes, including Prison 4 and IDF 16 in Tzrifin.



Under the agreement, the Ministry of Defense will evacuate the camps in a short period of time and hand them over to their existing condition and the Israel Land Authority will demolish and evacuate the existing buildings and rehabilitate the area through the Government Environmental Services Company, which specializes in land rehabilitation.



The formulation of the agreement was led by an outline unit in the Trust Division (Operations, Logistics and Properties) with the Development and Infrastructure Division of the Israel Land Authority.

The camps shared and what will be established in their territory

Sirkin Camp in Petah Tikva

: About 1,300 dunams will be evacuated in the coming days and will allow the plans to advance the marketing of about 2,700 first housing units, about 100,000 square meters of commercial and employment areas and hundreds of thousands of square meters of public areas and parks.

An additional 650 dunams will be evacuated by the end of the year.



Training Base 16, 4 and complex as the military rabbinate Zrifin

(area of Rishon Lezion and Be'er Yaakov): 300 acres, which will be built about 3,400 housing units and 100 thousand square meters of commercial and employment, will be evacuated by the end of the year.



Camp Castle in Haifa

: About 250 dunams will be evacuated in about two months and will allow the construction of an additional 2,400 housing units, about 100,000 square meters of commercial and employment space and about 200,000 square meters of public areas and parks at the entrance to a city that is in a development boom.

Additional camps will soon be evacuated from areas of demand

The Ministry of Defense, the Israel Land Authority and the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance are currently promoting additional arrangements for evacuating IDF camps from areas of demand and turning them into civilian areas, where residential neighborhoods, employment areas, recreation and extensive public areas will be established.
