In the Brandenburg district of Spree-Neisse, a man was seriously injured while trying to avoid the execution of an arrest warrant.

According to the police, the officers rang the doorbell of the man to execute a search warrant and an arrest warrant from the Dessau-Roßlau district court.

The orders were issued in connection with criminal proceedings several years ago.

Jump from a height of seven meters

When the man saw the policemen, he fled, climbed out of a skylight onto the roof ridge and jumped seven meters into the depth.

He was taken to a clinic with life-threatening injuries, as announced by the public prosecutor and the Dessau-Roßlau police station.

Much evidence was confiscated from the man's home.

No details were given about the exact allegation.

A DNA hit led the investigators to track down the alleged perpetrator.
