Trumpeter Pierre Dutot died at the age of 75 on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, we learned from his relatives.

Pierre Dutot was one of the most admired teachers at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon, where he trained the most talented students for 22 years.
Among them are Pascal Clarhaut, David Guerrier (first prize in the international competition in Munich 2003) and André Henry (first prize in the international competition in Geneva 1996).

First prize for trumpet at the Conservatoire in Paris, he began a brilliant career as a concert performer. But this man with a charismatic personality wants to go further. The soloist of the national orchestra of Lyon will lend his talent to many classical formations. And in particular, the aura of the Hexagone brass ensemble is still etched in the memory of classical lovers.
Known by his peers and the Ministry of Culture, in the 1990s he was in charge of preparing for the brass mastery.
The immense Maurice André regularly sends him students to give them his precious advice.
