On September 26, the Rolling Stones will embark on yet another American tour on the stage of the indoor stadium in the city of Saint Louis, Missouri. On drums will be the American musician Steve Jordan, 64, and a CV as long as an arm. A veteran of stages and studios since the mid-1970s, the man has lent his dry and sonorous strikes to many artists, from Stevie Wonder to Beyoncé, including Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. In 1985, he was called by the Rolling Stones to the Pathé-Marconi studio in Boulogne-Billancourt, where the group recorded
Dirty Work
. It is about replacing Charlie Watts, entangled in an addiction to alcohol and drugs. In the process, Keith Richards takes Jordan on board for his solo projects.
