A man of Filipino origin is isolated in Buenos Aires after having tested positive for Covid and with the
Delta variant,
upon arriving in the country through Ezeiza.
But although almost 550 kilometers in a straight line separate the Ministro Pistarini International Airport from the city of Bahía Blanca, everyone is worried there.
It so happens that this person who arrived in Argentina was part of a group of nine people, all of the same nationality, who had to travel to the Buenos Aires city of Bahía Blanca to be a replacement for the crew of a ship that was scheduled to depart from the local port.
In a first control, only the man who is isolated tested positive for Covid.
The other eight, in principle, gave negative in their controls and although they registered a hotel in the affidavit to make the isolation, they got on a plane in Aeroparque
without revealing that they were close contacts of a positive case

That flight left for Bahía Blanca.
At the moment it is not clear which is the hotel that those men declared as the headquarters of the mandatory isolation, if it was in the vicinity of Ezeiza or at their next destination.
The truth is that everything became even more complicated when they arrived in Bahía Blanca,
two of them began with symptoms and when they were tested they were positive
. And although it is not yet known with which variant they were infected, it is estimated that it would be with the Delta, because they spent time with a positive case and it is known that this mutation of the virus has an enormous contagiousness.
In Bahia they are now waiting for the results of the swabs of the other six men, who were tested preventively and are already isolated.
But the great concern of the authorities is now to quickly find
all those who traveled on the Aeroparque-Bahía Blanca flight
with them to examine and isolate them.
The taxi drivers who took these men to the hotel when they arrived in the city are also being sought.
The man who tested positive in Ezeiza was detected with the Delta variant after sequencing studies.
Of the rest, at least two have already been made official with Covid and the results of the same studies are awaited.
Of the other six there are also pending results.

Until that situation, Bahía Blanca did not register cases from the Delta.
In the Province, meanwhile, it was learned in the last hours that a contagion with that variant of a man from Lanús was registered who went to work in the City and returned infected, without having had a connection with people who traveled abroad in the last weather.
In any case, the National Government insisted that although the variant has begun to circulate in more than one jurisdiction, after hearing cases in Córdoba, Mendoza and also in the City of Buenos Aires, the Delta still "is not predominant" in those places.
