Recall of hemp products at Lidl - increased THC content

According to the manufacturer and the retailer, consumption can lead to undesirable health consequences such as mood swings and fatigue.

Consumption is strongly discouraged.

Affected customers can easily return the products in all branches for a refund of the full purchase price, even without presenting the receipt.

Lidl had already withdrawn all cannabis products from the promotional range in mid-August.

According to the authorities, the reason was a possible violation of the Narcotics Act.

It should be checked whether the products contain THC or CBD, as a spokesman for the Heilbronn public prosecutor said.

In contrast to cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) contains psychoactive ingredients that can influence the psyche.

In Germany there are strict limits that determine how much THC certain products may contain.
