(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 26 - The Japanese government has suspended the use of 1.63 million doses of the anti Covid Modern vaccine contaminated with "foreign substances": this was announced today by the pharmaceutical company Takeda and the Ministry of Health.
Takeda, the company responsible for the sale and distribution of the Moderna vaccine in the country, announced that it had "received news from numerous vaccination centers according to which foreign substances were found in the vials that are still closed": after "consultations with the Ministry of Health - he continued - we have decided to discontinue the use of the vaccine "coming from three batches starting today.
