In the Berlin district of Reinickendorf, a police car crashed into a wall after a chase.
In the accident around two o'clock in the night, three police officers were injured, reports several media unanimously.
The emergency car crashed into a wall at an intersection while chasing a fugitive BMW driver, as reported by the »Tagesspiegel« and the »Bild« newspaper, among others.
As a result, officials wanted to stop the driver for a check - but he hurried away in the car, including through a green area and pedestrian walkways.
The man reportedly rammed a pedestrian light and drove on until he left his car between a tree and a barrier and continued on foot.
He is said to be still on the run, but is known to the police and is now being sought.
Why exactly the patrol car crashed and crashed into a fence on a wall is not yet known.
The three injured inmates came to the hospital, according to the Berliner Morgenpost.
