And 26. Three new countries will be placed on the red list of the territories most at risk due to the Covid-19 pandemic from Sunday, according to a decree published this Friday in the Official Journal: Turkey, Georgia and the 'Iran.
They therefore join 23 other overseas states or departments, including Brazil, Tunisia and Guyana.
This change will have very concrete consequences for many travelers.
Those who are not vaccinated with one of the four products authorized by the European Medicines Agency (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen) will have to respect a mandatory 10-day quarantine controlled by the police, in particular to simply have to self-isolate for 7 days as planned from an orange list country.
An antigen test will also be imposed on them on arrival and will no longer be optional.
And the list of compelling reasons to be able to come to France is limited.
Chile and Uruguay in green
From Sunday also, Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia will be in the orange zone and no longer in the green zone.
The unvaccinated must therefore commit to self-isolate for a week on arrival in France (details of the measures are available on the government website).
Conversely, and as of now, Chile and Uruguay are entering the green zone, thus joining (notably) those of the European Union.
No more compelling reasons are required for the unvaccinated, who will simply have to have a negative PCR or antigen test carried out less than 72 hours before departure.
