(ANSA) - BEIJING, AUGUST 29 - China has launched a two-month campaign to crack down on commercial platforms and social media accounts that publish financial information "harmful to its economy". The initiative aims at "rectifying violations", including those that "maliciously gossip about Chinese financial markets and misinterpret internal policies and economic data," the Cyberspace Administration of China clarified in a note on Friday night. The target is also for those who publish material from foreign media who incorrectly deal with the main national financial issues "without taking a position or expressing judgments". (HANDLE).
